"Creativity and rules are like Jello and lard.  They don't mix.  The end product will likely leave you with an upset stomach."  Fred Babb
About the Artist

After a career holding executive positions in non-profit organizations, Jane turned her passion, painting, into a new, full-time career. She studied art with Frank Ryan who is most noted for his artwork on the Jackie Gleason show.  In addition, she studied at the Woodstock School of Art and with nationally known artists Richard Segalman, Margaret M. Martin,  Skip Lawrence, Fran Larson, Katherine Liu, Christopher Schink, and Alex Powers.

Working primarily in watermedia, Jane's work is representational.  Her love of people and the human form is reflected in her "Figures and Faces" page of the Gallery.   She also is enthralled with God's creation of this beautiful earth.  The "Impressions" section of the Gallery page reflects her interpretation of nature.  One could best describe Jane's work as "expressions" and "impressions".

Jane also works with handmade papers, fibers, and found objects creating three dimensional works of art.   Gifts from Jane's garden are often included in the pieces.  Look at the page, Fibers and Found Objects, to see some of these  unique pieces.

Drawing on her experience in corporate training, Jane teaches classes and workshops.  Her classes are always up beat and fun as her students explore their own paths to creativity.

Jane has a Master's Degree from Florida Atlantic University.  She is a signature member of Florida Watercolor Society as well as  Gold Coast Watercolor Society.  Her works are in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
